A family in the craft

Trezella began in 1968 at a single workbench, where our grandfather spent his days finishing bridal sets for the old jewellery bazaars. He was a karigar in the truest sense — a craftsman who believed a clasp should close with a whisper, that a stone should sit as if it had grown there, and that the woman wearing his work should never have to think about it twice.

His sons grew up sweeping filings from that floor. They learned the trade the slow way: polishing, setting, plating, repairing — and listening. Over five decades the family workshop supplied jewellers far beyond that bazaar, and one lesson kept repeating itself. The pieces people actually lived in were rarely the heaviest or the most expensive. They were the ones light enough for a Tuesday and lovely enough for a wedding.

Trezella is the third generation’s answer to that lesson. We make artificial, demi-fine jewellery and we say so plainly: fine plating and hand-set stones over honest metals, finished to the standard our grandfather kept, without the price of gold vaults or the anxiety of wearing one. No pretence, no “investment pieces” — just design, craft and comfort you can wear every single day.

Every Trezella piece still passes through family hands. We plate generously so the glow lasts, test our finishes against skin and sweat and summers that punish cheap plating, and pack each order with the small rituals we grew up with — a soft pouch, a care note, the little lozenge stamp that has marked our work since 1968.
